Claim It!

One day during my commute an old lady told me that if I wanted something I’d have to claim it! Exclaim it as mine. Those words empowered me to seize the day and every opportunity that comes my way.

That phrase reenergized my spirit and reinvigorated my soul
To pursue my lifelong goals
I want to be the first black Fortune 500 CEO who retains majority ownership
Every day I will claim this as my dream and will own it every day of my life

Permit

Permit: 1) to allow to be done; consent to 2) to authorize; give leave 3) to give opportunity for

I permit myself to achieve greatness by ignoring other people’s opinions of me.

Grateful Journal Entry: May 6, 2005

I am grateful for these five things:

1) I have my health!

2) I have taken time out for me.

3) I have taken myself so serious.

4) Having read today's paper about Pauline Bunkley McCadden's journey towards earning her libral arts degree from Cleveland State University (my alma mater) at age 78, has motivated me to do more. I don't have any of her trials and tribulations, therefore, I should accomplish more!

5) That I am currently working towards my future of being an Economist by studying for the BLS assessment.

Happiness Lies Within Me

I create my own happiness
My own sorrow
My own peace
My own heaven
My own hell
My own highs
My own lows
And so it goes

Happiness is a choice
I choose to be happy
Release positive energy
To impact me emotionally

Happiness is a groundswell of
Overflowing and outpouring
Gushing like a geyser
Sprouting like Ole Faithful
Springing forth a renewed spirit
And for me a happier life

More

I want more!
